Combating climate change

Our Vision 2030

We assume responsibility for forthcoming generations

We’re a family company with a long history and see ourselves as pioneers in accepting responsibility for forthcoming generations. We’ve therefore decided to completely restructure our product range by 2030 and replace all solvent -based products with sustainable alternatives. We are increasingly reliant on regenerative raw materials to reduce the emissions from volatile organic compounds (VOC) and to conserve resources.

This is our way of actively contributing to the preservation of a world worth living in for future generations and to meet future market requirements.

Climate-relevant emissions

Detailed climate analysis in the DNK Report

The nature of our product range means that purchased raw materials represent the largest part of our emissions at 80 % (base year 2021), and in addition to that is packaging materials at 13 %. Our product range contains chemical products. Both the manufacturing process and application of these products result in climate-relevant emissions. We are aware of this responsibility and are directly addressing it. We started climate analyses with a base year in 2021 to make our entry into transparency and disclosure, and will continuously pursue a reduction of our emissions.

Our corporate carbon footprint (CCF) at the premises was measured according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standards. The GHG Protocol operated by the World Resources Institute (WIR) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development ( WBCSD) is in addition to ISO 14065 the standard for a detailed survey of GHG emissions. Our detailed climate analysis can be found in the DNK Report under "Environment: 13. Climate-relevant emissions"

100 % green electricity at our premises in Hamm

We are actively working on reducing our CO2 emissions

We are proud of the fact that our premises in Hamm are supplied to 100 % with green electricity. We installed seven electric charging stations at our factory premises in 2019, which our customers, visitors and employees can use to charge their vehicles. We provided charging points with different connections ranging from 380 V to Type 2, which also caters to the needs of our two-wheeled visitors. We have furthermore been successively equipping our vehicle fleet since 2019 to include vehicles with hydrogen and e-drives.

A photovoltaic system was installed at our premises in 2021 to further increase our contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions.

Mobile working and the use of video conferencing tools are helping us to reduce business trips by car and air travel.
