Industrial coating of sheets, mouldings and panels

for greater efficiency in production

Lacquers meet the high demands of industry

The spectrum of wood processing industries is vast. From small trims to large-format panels in large quantities, everything is possible. The requirements for surface design are just as diverse as the range of applications. Because what all industries have in common is their high demand for design and aesthetics.

Whether processed into furniture, as high-quality wall panels, as design flooring or as a perfect finish to walls and ceilings, the focus is always on completing rooms. This is where our innovative lacquers and techniques are used. From board goods finished with UV lacquers ranging from dull matt to high gloss, to complicated geometries in trims coated with vacuum lacquers. The use of Hesse lacquers makes any room a real eye-catcher.

Digital lacquer embossing

Allows the look and feel of your decor to merge

Digital lacquer embossing (DLE) can be used to achieve totally new methods of producing structured surfaces. This novel digital printing process was developed by machine manufacturer Hymmen and enables unique finishing processes.

How does digital lacquer embossing work?

Digital lacquer embossing involves a dye being printed into the wet lacquer film on the surface of the decor, which displaces the lacquer at this point. This creates an indentation

that is fixed after hardening. The digitally printed pore then corresponds to the decor underneath and thus virtually “merges” the look and feel.

Some of our customers are already using this new, patented process, naturally in combination with their innovative lacquers from Hesse.

Digital printing technology

Special finishing of surfaces

Digital printing technology has developed dramatically in recent years and has become indispensable in many areas of the woodworking industries.

In the flooring sector, for coatings in the reconstituted wood industry or for decorative elements made of glass – these surfaces are now largely printed digitally in a continuous process, and at breathtaking speed.

A special primer is needed to prepare the substrates to ensure reliable adhesion to the substrate , such as glass, HDF or plastic-based boards.

These Hesse Lignal primers are optimally coordinated with the printing inks to enable surfaces to become an inspiring experience. A lacquer finish is also applied to protect the printed motifs, It reliably protects the digital print from scratches and stains in everyday use.

You can trust the wide-ranging experience gained by Hesse when selecting your coating products for the digital printing process.

High gloss or dull matt?

The main thing is rational

The extremes are wide apart. On the one hand, the perfect high-gloss surface that is still in demand in many markets. On the other hand, the complete opposite. Extremely matt surfaces coupled with the highest resistance to scratching and fingerprints. In between, a wide field with tactile structures that are supposed to match synchronously with printed optics.

Common to all aspects is the cost pressure that industrial producers are under in international competition. The search is therefore for solutions that meet the demands of the market in terms of innovation and product design, while at the same time being efficient to produce.

The solution in these industries is never a single product, but the combination of machines, materials and process knowledge.

This is where Hesse provides support given its large network of machine manufacturers and its own process know-how in conjunction with innovative material combinations.
