Hesse Lignal’s state of the art products and many years of know-how appeal to a range of industries in the foil coating sector. We support our customers in the coating of substrates that are coated in large volumes from roll to roll.
We therefore have the right lacquers for all customers in our product range: we offer products for decorative papers and finishing foils used in the furniture industry, the panel industry or the flooring industry as well as products for special foils used in the graphic and laminating industries. Our lacquers are moreover excellent for finishing flexible packaging for the packaging industry.
There are virtually no limits to the design of creative foil surfaces: our product portfolio offers you a wide-ranging programme with the highest resistance to mechanical and chemical demands. It includes products for UV, IV inert, LED UV, excimer and electron beam hardening on decorative papers as well as various synthetic substrates such as PET, PVC, OPP and ABS. You can also obtain from us 1C, 2C and UV hardening Hydro systems that are free from formaldehyde.
On request, we will also develop individual formulations with you to realise effects such as anti-graffiti, anti-scratch, light protection, special hardeners , adhesion promoters, colour concentrates or easy to clean properties. Discontinuation of water-based SH lacquers
The market is applying pressure
For a long time, coating decorative papers with water-based, acid-hardening lacquers was the standard. Robust and inexpensive, but unfortunately with a flaw in terms of health protection due to formaldehyde emissions. Even if these were within the legal limits, the acceptance of such coatings is dwindling.
Major market players are therefore exerting pressure on the industry to switch technology.
Hesse UV lacquers and EBH lacquers for foil coating solve this problem and are therefore already in use by some of the relevant market players.
