Rustic stain colour tones
HYDRO Rustic stain WRB 5-(colour tone)
Rustic stains accentuate the pores in wood. These stains are specifically formulated for coarse pored wood, such as oak, ash or mahogany. In the past, rustic stains were traditionally solvent -based. We have long since been offering aqueous alternatives, which gives the wood exactly the same shine with a rustic stain appearance. Our HYDRO Rustic stain WRB 5-(colour tone) is ready for use, formulated to be light fast and has fine particle pigments to create the greatest possible transparency and brilliance from the stain tones. It is of course also ideally suited for recoating with HYDRO Lacquer.
For your information: by 2030 we will have replaced all solvent -based products in our product range with sustainable alternatives and will be making greater use of regenerative raw materials. The restructuring of the product range will result in some changes for our customers.
The colours of the stain samples shown here may vary; they only serve as a rough guide. The colour tone of a stained object depends on a number of factors: the type and features of the wood, the sanding of the grain, the way the stain is applied, and the structure of the surface process. Uniformly sand the bare wood at 120 grit along the grain direction and remove all dust.
Please always stain a test area. The ultimate colour tone is revealed by first testing the stain on the original wood, with the original raw wood sanding and the desired coating.
The colour tone overview still contains the solvent - based alternative (CL 5-colour tone) currently in brackets, but we would definitely recommend our HYDRO Rustic stain WRB 5-(colour tone).
