COOL-TOP HE 6509x(gloss level)
Hesse COOL-TOP HE 6509x(gloss level) is a light fast and colourless 1C multicoat lacquer with very good chemical and mechanical resistance and good sanding properties. The product has a wide field of application and is suitable both for priming and top coating of open- to closed-pore structures, e.g. for coating staircases to be creak-free. Our acrylate-based COOL-TOP is equally suitable for coating children’s toys as per DIN EN 71-3 and its very low VOC content means it can also be used for "Green Building" projects.

| Processing information | Stir the paint material well before processing. If necessary, an application with COOL-TOP can be carried out with a paint roller. For this type of application, we recommend adding (maximum 5%) HYDRO Coating Additive HZ 71. When used as a low-flammable coating for seagoing vessels according to SOLAS 74/88 Reg. II-2/3, II-2/5 and II-2/6, latest version, IMO Resolution MSC.36(63)-(1994 HSC-Code) 7, IMO Resolution MSC.97(73)-(2000 HSC-Code) 7, this product can only be combined with other approved and technically suitable products. The maximum wet application rate when using this product as a low-flammable coating for seagoing vessels is 100 g/m². |
| Special notes | When used on coarse pored wood, the addition of up to 5 % HYDRO Optimizer HZ 70 improves pore wetting and the pore pattern. Overcoatability with itself or suitable clear materials is possible. COOL-TOP is suitable for finishing coloured HYDRO surfaces, e.g. COOL-COLOR. Finishing without Intermediate sanding is only possible within 6 h (without forced drying). If required, COOL-TOP can be used on bleached wood types after sufficient drying. After adding 10 % Hesse Additive HZ 75 to the last coat of lacquer, slip resistance class R10 according to German Industrial Standard 51130 is achieved. Clean work tools with water. Use Hesse HYDRO Cleaner HV 6917 to remove dried lacquer residues. For combined work (water-based and solvent-based lacquers), rinse application equipment with Hesse HYDRO Rewetting agent HV 6904. "A risk assessment has been carried out in accordance with Directive 2014/90/EU, Annex II, Section 3. The cured and dried coating poses neither a physical or health hazard nor a hazard to the environment." |
