Description/ features: The colour tone selection and visual perception of our Desert look effect is intended to represent an individual sand texture.

How to – Desert look
Application example:
- Substrate material: Laminated MDF
- Edge and profile sanding: Grit 150 - 180 (dust removal)
- Laminate sanding: Grit 320 - 400 (dust removal)
- Apply EASY-FILL DP 4788-9343 at 150 - 180 g/m², mixing ratio (by volume) 100 : 15 with PU Hardener DR 4096-0002, add 10 % PU Thinner DV 4900 to the lacquer/hardener mixture
- Drying: 5 h / 20 °C, better 16 h / 20 °C
- Primer sanding: Grit 320 - 400 (dust removal)
- Apply PU Structure lacquer DB 46031-8001 at 120 - 150 g/m², mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4070, add 10 - 15 % PU Thinner DV 4900 to the lacquer/hardener mixture
- Drying: 5 - 20 min / 20 °C
- Apply PU Structure lacquer DB 46031-8001 at 60 - 100 g/m², mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4070 using a cup gun with reduced spray pressure (0.5 - 1.0 bar). The spray pressure, selection of spray nozzle size and working viscosity influence the particle size and thus the effect.
- Drying: 30 min / 20 °C
- Apply PU Structure lacquer DB 46031-8008 at 60 - 100 g/m², mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4070 using a cup gun with reduced spray pressure (0.5 - 1.0 bar). The spray pressure, selection of spray nozzle size and working viscosity influence the particle size and thus the effect.
- Drying: 30 min / 20 °C
- Apply PU Desert look DB 46031-1013 at 60 - 100 g/m², mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4070 using a cup gun with reduced spray pressure (0.5 – 1.0 bar). The spray pressure, selection of spray nozzle size and working viscosity influence the particle size and thus the effect.
- Drying: 16 h / 20 °C
