Processing information | Prepare the substrate in the desired manner using at least two coats of highly diluted HYDRO or HYDRO PU Colour, Multicoat lacquers or Basecoats and allow to dry for at least 16 h / 20 °C. Gentle sanding is not required prior to applying Wiping stain. The wiping stain can be applied using a spray gun, brush or balled up cloth. Once the wiping stain has dried, carefully rub the wood surface with steel wool so that the material only remains in the pores. Remove any remaining haze by light sanding with 400 grit. Then top coat using aqueous or solvent-based lacquer.NOTE: Removal using sanding fleece, ABRALON or sanding paper can result in abrasion marks that become discolored! It is therefore best to use steel wool to remove the dry excess and then sand with ABRALON 1000. Or directly remove the wiping stain whilst still damp, allow it to dry and then remove any haze using sanding fleece, ABRALON or a fine sanding paper. |
Special notes | PORECOLOR is available ready-mixed or for mixing yourself. Base TPZ 800 can be tinted using at most 10 % of our Standard pigments BP 30xx. |
